Our Care Approach

At Skylark, we minimize institutional aspects of care, providing a homely, nurturing, and stimulating environment. We ensure that CYP feel safe, valued, and supported, giving them the opportunity to flourish and reach their potential. We prioritize emotional well-being, offering trauma and attachment-informed care, while building trusting relationships with a consistent, positive staff team.

We establish clear boundaries and expectations to ensure structure and routine, while also giving CYP the space to express themselves and participate in their care plans. We work closely with external services, including therapeutic support, to address any additional needs.

Educational Support and Life Skills

Skylark is committed to meeting the educational needs of CYP through personalized education plans, ensuring they have access to mainstream or specialized provisions. We foster an environment that values learning, while also focusing on developing positive relationships and building self-esteem.

Our services also focus on preparing CYP for successful independent living by equipping them with the necessary emotional and practical skills. This includes helping them integrate safely into a family environment or other care provisions.
